UPDATE: March 18, 2020 9:20 P.M.
Due to the extraordinary times and conditions in which we find ourselves, and taking heed to the advice given to us from the professionals contending with the COVID 19 pandemic, and with careful consideration toward our neighbors and community, we will be suspending public services at Heritage Baptist Church, effective immediately.
This is not a decision that was reached lightly or quickly or without much anguish. It was a decision made after much prayer and pleading for wisdom and the Lord’s leading in the matter. It was not made from a point of fear of man or pestilence, but out of concern for the testimony of Christ and the safety of the members and friends of Heritage Baptist Church and our community and country.
Having said this, Heritage Baptist Church will live stream services here on Facebook, Sunday at 11:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M., and Wednesday night at 7:00 P.M.
It is our prayer that you will join us online for the services. If you are able to do so, please log in and let us know you are watching – doing so will be of great encouragement to your church family and your pastor, also.
If you have a prayer request, please let us know in the comment section or by direct message, no details, just ask for prayer so that we may lift you up during the live stream service.
I have asked some of the dearest men of our church to help me to reach out to each member and as many friends of our ministry during our physical absence from each other. I will personally be calling as well. Please let us know how we can serve you during this time.
To answer the question posed to us by several regarding giving, we are working on setting up ways in which to give on line. A number of our members already utilize automatic withdrawals sent right from their bank to the church by mail. If you would like, you can mail checks directly to the church, or if you would like to stop by in person, we will be maintaining office hours at the church daily.
As Pastor, it is a very humbling honor to be your servant. My heart is hurting at the thought of not being able to be in the physical presence of those whom I love, my church family.
Your servant and friend,
Pastor Ross
